Eduroam

Eduroam is a wireless service which allows the staff and students of participating institutions to have secure and automatic wireless network access when at other participating organisations. Most Australian universities participate in eduroam, as well as universities in more than 70 countries across the globe. Eduroam is also being deployed via organisations which are strongly engaged with the higher education and research sector: hospitals, schools and on public transport facilities.

VDIT promotes the deployment of eduroam throughout Victoria and Tasmania via university partnerships with state government agencies and other partners. Eduroam is available in over 13 hospitals across Victoria and collaboration is underway in both Victoria and Tasmania to trial the use of eduroam in schools.
