David Rumbens

David Rumbens is a macroeconomist and regular commentator on the Australian economy. He leads Deloitte Access Economics’ macroeconomics practice, and has over two decades of experience with Australia’s pre-eminent economic consulting firm.
David has considerable experience in labour market analysis, having led a range of projects examining workforce trends and future workforce and skill needs. This includes providing regular advice on skills needs for the Victorian and Commonwealth governments, and detailed examination of the factors which support ‘inclusive growth’.

Sara Ma
Associate Director, Deloitte Access Economics
Sara Ma is an economist with experience across a wide range of areas including public policy, financial markets, digital technology and strategy consulting across the public and private sectors.
In Sara’s current role as an Associate Director in the Economic Analysis and Policy team at Deloitte Access Economics, she is involved in quantitative and qualitative analysis across an extensive range of industries and policy issues across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, including in financial services, digital and technology, transport and infrastructure, taxation policy, foreign investment policy, small business regulation, the property sector and the labour market.
Sara has led economic analysis on a range of digital technology, skills and workforce projects including the Australia’s Digital Pulse series, the Connected Small Business series, and The Future of Work.
